Assessment and Comparison the Effect of Exercise in Different Depth of Water On Postural Stability and Balance Recovery Strategies of Older People: A Clinical Trial

Background and Aims Water exercise is one of the most important interventions to reduce risk falls in elderly. However, effect different depths water has been less studied. Therefore, aim this study was investigate compare 8 weeks aquatic shallow deep parts pool on postural stability balance recovery strategies Methods In quasi-experimental study, a total 45 elderly males (60-70 years old) were randomly selected classified into control 2 intervention groups deep-water exercises. The participated program for weeks, while group did not receive any intervention. Postural all before after evaluated using Biodex system Motion Analysis system, respectively. Finally, Mixed ANOVA test used data analysis(P≤0.05). Results results showed significant increase conducting both types programs(P<0.05). there no difference between groups(P>0.05). also that scores two Conclusion brief, it seems exercises can significantly improve While these cannot change their strategies. due more effective role transferring from hip ankle joint, recommended pay attention improving older people.
